The Importance of Water
Water is the most common ingredient in cosmetics, skincare, and topically applied beauty products. It is key for good health and complexion and essential for hydrating your skin, hair, and nails.
Did you know not all waters are the same? There are many different types of water: saltwater, deionized water, purified water, reverse osmosis water, filtered water, and tap water. When checking the ingredients of your skincare products, you might see water (aqua) listed as one of the top ingredients, but have you checked to see what type of water they've actually used?
Water drawn from a city supply or local groundwater source cannot be used in its raw form, as it will potentially include a wide range of contaminants that may affect the quality, consistency, or even safety of the finished product. These contaminants range from bacterial, organic, residual pharmaceutical drugs, high mineral content, and suspended solids or matter.
At abbe, we are dedicated to producing Toxic-Free skincare products. With water sourced from the Rocky Moutains, our water purification process removes up to 98% of dissolved minerals and salts and 99% of microorganisms and residuals found within the raw water supply. All abbe products contain water that's been through rigorous purification processes, including:
- Water Softening
- 2 Charcoal Filters
- Reverse Osmosis (RO)
- Ultra Violet Light
- Continuous circulation to ensure optimal results of the finished product
The water we use meets or exceeds water purification process standards found in most other skincare and beauty products and as required by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) issued by the US Food and Drug Administration.
